There is still many unexplained phenomenon in the Pokemon World. While there are many hoaxes, and those will get their own page eventually, this page is to keep track of everything Professor Oak cannot explain with modern science.
In the anime episode "Ghost of Maiden's Peak", one of Gastly's illusions is to combine Venusaur and Blastoise into one super pokemon. If this Pokemon exists, hoever is up for debate. Many claim it's catchable with action replay codes, or by using a mist stone, but until there's photo proof this will remain an unexplained mystery.
This one sounds to good to be true, but I checked it myself and it's real! Raichu is already one of the strongest pokemon, so the idea that it then evolves into a new pokemon (Pikablu?) is too enticing. This one is easy to check yourself, just fly to Cinnabar lab and trade the man and Raichu, and he will brag about his new pokemon. Did he use a mist stone? Is he lying? Just another mystery.
Ah, I think everyone remembers crying their eyes out when Ash's Butterfree left our hero to live with the Butterfree of his dreams. But where exactaly did this Pink Butterfree come from, and can you catch one yourself? I've read all kinds of rumors that if you name your Butterfree "PINKY" or "PINK" that it will be pink in stadium, but that is NOT true! Lately, an episode of the anime revealed the legendary Pinkin Island, where Pinkinberries turn the local pokemon population pink. Will these items be obtainable in the new Pokemon GS? Are they in Red and Blue, just hidden away somewhere behind Bill's house? Only time will tell.
For the longest time, this mysterious blue Pikachu, nicknamed Pikablu by stevenblastoise89 (who's webzone is FULL of false info, warning!!) has been the subject of intense rumor and speculation. BUT NO MORE! The recent episode of the anime The Crystal Onix has revealed to us that this pokemon is actually named Maril! If this pokemon evolves from Raichu is still uncertain, but I am confident it dosen't! Pikachu is yellow, and Raichu is orange. Maril is blue. Why would it change color so suddenly on evolving?
